Invited Visit to Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia

Dr Chen ZhiYuan (PG Director, School of Computer Science) has been invited to visit the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia. This visit is to discuss the establishment of the Belt and Road Intelligence Research Exchange Centre (BRIREC). Her team members, Dr Ching Lik Hii (Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Nottingham Malaysia), Dr Ebrahim Jahanshiri (Crops for The Future), Dr Irene Chew (Monash University Malaysia), Dr Tan Khang Wei (Xia Men University Malaysia Campus), Mr Lim Wei Xiang (Research Assistant, University of Nottingham Malaysia) and Mr Lee Soon Boon (Research Associate, University of Nottingham Malaysia) have attended the meeting and explained details of different BRIREC themes to Dr Cao Jian Ru (Official from Embassy) and Miss Wang Shuang (Official from Embassy). Prof Deborah Hall (Vice Provost, University of Nottingham Malaysia) has presented an official gift on behalf of University of Nottingham Malaysia to Dr Cao Jian Ru. Dr Cao Jian Ru and Miss Wang Shuang from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia have expressed the Embassy’s supportive view for the establishment of the proposed Belt and Road Intelligence Research Exchange Centre and introduced possible funding opportunities from People’s Republic of China under the Belt and Road Initiative.
