ENSEARCH GIS training by OSGEO Lab
Following last year successful ENSEARCH “GIS for Environmental Management” training, OSGEO lab delivered an advanced course on 23-24 February 2016. This is one of important activities of OSGEO Lab to promote open-source “philosophy” and technologies to Malaysian communities. Via a set of hand-on exercises to solve real world environmental issues, participants were instructed to apply beyond and enable new cost-effective approaches in their works after the training. More to come as in-house training, ENSEARCH, and OSGEO.UNMC training programmes.
OSGEO lab of School of Geography, University of Nottingham, Malaysia campus was established in 2011, the first of its kinds in Southeast Asia and now a member of Geo4All network, of over 100 labs worldwide. OSGEO.UNMC is holding the chair of Asia, coordinating of Geo4All activities in the region.
