Alumni Testimonial: Vinsensius Felix Putra Andy (2018)
I earned by BSc(Hons) in Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences in 2018 from the University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM). Throughout my undergraduate journey, the university has instilled knowledge and practical skills that would allow me to flourish in the working world. Furthermore, I developed my confidence when speaking publicly and when working with others – all thanks to the lecturers who continuously encouraged and pushed me to achieve my true potential.
During my study, I especially enjoyed the chemistry modules. I was also passionate about educating the younger generation. After graduation, I become a teacher at a local school in my hometown – Bandung, Indonesia and I have been teaching chemistry since then. I was then inspired by my colleagues who are passionate in making a difference in their students’ lives. Hence I decided to delve into this area of expertise even more. I will pursue my Master’s degree in Advanced Teaching (M.Ed), specializing in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education soon in University of the People, Pasadena, California. I hope to earn my PhD in organic chemistry afterwards and be a catalyst for change, starting with my community.
Without my previous study experience in UNM, all these would not have been possible.
