Call for Entries: Images of Postgraduate Experience Photography Competition

Can you creatively capture the essence of your postgraduate experience with just one photographic image and a short caption?

The Images of Postgraduate Experience Photography Competition, organised by the Graduate School, challenges you to capture people’s interest and enthuse them about your postgraduate experience at the University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM).

Theme

Motivation – What does motivation mean to you as a postgraduate student? What keeps you going, what makes you stay excited or passionate about your studies, or maybe, what stops you from giving up?

Photograph

The photograph must relate to the theme and your postgraduate experience at UNM. It must not be altered in any way and the faithful representation of what was captured at the time of the shot being taken must be maintained: sharpening and minimal cropping is allowed but digital adjustments of any kind if strictly prohibited. Photos can be in colour or in black and white.

Caption

Your caption must be short and snappy: not more than 50 words and explain why the image was chosen and how it relates to the theme. It must be written in plain English and jargon-free to ensure that the general audience can clearly understand it.

Submission

Submit your photographic image (in JPEG format) and entry form to graduateschool@nottingham.edu.my no later than 5pm on Friday 16 November 2018.

Awards

There are three awards: Winner, Runner up and People’s Choice.
