Coffee & Cake Session 6/2018

The sixth and final Coffee and Cake session for this year was held on 26 October 2018. It was a casual session where postgraduate students from across all three faculties met and established rapport with one another whilst enjoying coffee and cakes. It was also a good platform for postgraduate students to temporarily get away from their work, relieve stress and catch-up with fellow postgraduate students.

The session also featured a talk about the election and voting for Students’ Association (SA) Postgraduate Officer by Taiba Hasan Khairalla Mohamed Mohamedi, Vice Chair of Student Council. Taiba made use of the platform to encourage postgraduate students to vote for their desired candidate to represent the voice of postgraduate community and subsequently lead the representative body of postgraduate students, Postgraduate Students’ Network (PGSN).

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who came and we hope that you enjoyed the session. The Coffee and Cake session will continue on next year and the dates will be announced in due course. So stay tuned!

On a separate note, we will be having our annual Deepavali Celebration on 14 November 2018, 1pm – 2pm in H1B12. We welcome all postgraduate students to join us and celebrate the joyous occasion.

The Coffee and Cake sessions are open to all our postgraduate students including postgraduate research students (PGRs) and postgraduate taught students (PGTs).
