C0VID-19: Graduate School updates (13 July 2020)

Latest update & guidance

Issuance of certificate for Postgraduate Student Teachers (PST) programme 

We are resuming certificate issuance for PST programme that was halted in light of the MCO and campus closure.

Postgraduate research students who have attended the necessary workshops and are therefore eligible for the PST certification, please follow the guidelines detailed below:

Requisition

  • Make a certificate request between Friday – Wednesday via email to graduateschool@nottingham.edu.my
  • Choose to (1) get a soft copy first (collect hard copy at a later date when the campus is fully open to all) or (2) collect hard copy*
    *only those who are allowed to be on campus
    have the option to collect the hard copy certificate during RMCO (in accordance to FAQ3 – Access to Campus – this is a live document so please note that the nature of its content means that it is subject to change from time to time)  
  • If (2), we will advise the time slots available for you to choose from (collection is  scheduled for Thursdays, between 10am – 3pm)

Collection

  • Come to our Graduate School administration office (BA02a) according to your appointment (only 1 student can enter our office at a time)
  • Collect your certificate placed on the reception table (hand sanitiser is provided for your use)
  • If you miss your time slot, you must make another appointment with us

  • This course will support the development of good time management and enable students to plan their research development more efficiently.

  • Session 07/02: Tuesday 14 July 2020, 2pm – 4.30pm

  • This session will assist in structuring periods of writing and limiting the distraction at home while providing the necessary guidance and motivation to write efficiently and effectively.

 What Do I Want to Get Out of a Conference?

  • Thursday 16 July 2020, 10am – 12noon

  • This course will discuss key issues when choosing a conference and how to maximise participation when attending a conference.
