Call for participation: Postgraduate Showcase 2022

Present your research poster 

Present a poster that clearly describes your research to an intelligent audience with no prior knowledge in your research area, and stand a chance to win RM1,000 prize award!

Our Postgraduate Showcase is a great opportunity for postgraduate researchers like you to share with us the impact of your research, refine your presentation skills, and engage with a wider audience.

This year, the competition will take place in-person where you will present your poster to a live audience and judges. Entries are invited from all postgraduate research students (MRes, MPhil and doctoral students).

Awards and prizes

We are pleased to announce the award of prize money for this year’s winners:

    • Winner: RM1,000

    • 1st Runner Up: RM750

    • 2nd Runner Up: RM500

Why participate?

    • Develop your academic, presentation and research communication skills.

    • Learn to design a poster that communicates your research to an intelligent audience with no prior knowledge of your research area.

    • Network with other researchers and build your profile.

How to participate?

1. Design your poster

    • Design a poster that adheres to the University’s branding and corporate guidelines.

    • There are no format requirements for the poster but it should be in A1 size and can be of any orientation. Be creative – organise text, images and figures in the way that works best for your research work.

2. Attend training and support sessions

    • Attend the following training and support sessions to help you create and present your poster.

3. Confirm your participation

4. Present your research poster

    • Wednesday 19 October 2022, *10am (the time may be subject to change)

    • Present your research live to a panel of judges.
