Christmas cheer to Rumah Kasih from UNM Foundation in Science
As part of its 10th year anniversary and the 20th year anniversary of the University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM), the Foundation in Science in UNM set out to organise its first charity ball in the early part of 2020. The event was to raise funds for underprivileged children but it had to be cancelled due to the movement control order. However, through generous donors, a substantial amount was still raised.
On 18 December 2020, a delivery of groceries and other supplies was made to Rumah Kasih (a home under Persatuan Kebajikan Kasih) to bring some Christmas cheer to the children. Items delivered included bags of rice, Milo and milk powder, instant noodles, cooking oil, clothes detergent, sanitary pads and stationary. A big thank you to all students and staff of the UNM Foundation in Science as well as all donors for making this effort a success despite the circumstances.
