University of Nottingham Malaysia Won the Best Career Centre of the Year 2019

We’ve made it!!

University of Nottingham Malaysia was awarded the Best Career Centre of the Year 2019 (Private University) in the gradMalaysia Malaysia’s 100 Leading Graduate Employer Awards 2019. The award was presented by the Head of Products & Services of GTI Media Jaideep Patel to the Head of Careers Advisory Service (CAS) Alicia Ch’ng; and witnessed by Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education YBhg Datuk Ir Dr Siti Hamisah Binti Tapsir; and the Provost of University of Nottingham Malaysia Graham Kendall.

The Malaysia’s 100 Leading Graduate Employers Awards represents the largest graduate recruitment award in Malaysia, and sets the benchmark for employer branding excellence on campus. It is the largest and longest-running study on graduate recruitment trends in Malaysia.

The Career Centre of the Year Award falls under gradMalaysia’s Graduate Recruitment Awards, where it seeks to acknowledge the most effective career services centres across Malaysian universities, both public and private. It also aims to identify the best-designed internship and graduate training programmes offered by employers in the country.

Alicia, the Head of CAS said, “ Our win is the recognition of our conscious efforts and a testimony of the services we provide in order to bridge the gap between students’ needs and employers’ expectations.

She added that employability was not the main concern and goal at CAS. “We want our students to do what they love, love what they do, which is also CAS’ tagline. Finding your passion and what you love to do is a process, it takes time and career planning. This is where we start by using a systematic three-step Career Development Roadmap to help students acquire self-awareness, explore career paths and get ready for the working world.”.

“I would like to applaud my team who diligently work together to provide our students with the best possible experience in their career development journey.”

Thank you to GTI Media and judging panels for this wonderful recognition. Shout out to all industry partners who have been constantly supporting us to equip the students to be the crème de la crème for the workforce and increase the graduates employability.

We sincerely thank everyone who has been supporting us and cheering for us from day one until today. We would not able to achieve this recognition without your tremendous support. We hope to contribute better in the future. Again, thank you! Last but not least, heartiest congratulations to all winners. All of you did a great job!
