Career-Ready, Recognised, and Rising: UNM in the 2025 GE Index

The University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM) has once again proven its strength in graduate employability by being listed as one of Talentbank’s 2025 Employers’ Choice universities, under the National Graduate Employability Index (GE Index).

At the Careers Advisory Service (CAS), we are honoured to have played a part in this achievement by supporting our students’ career journeys and working alongside our valued industry partners. We believe that employability is not built overnight—it grows through consistent effort, guidance, and meaningful exposure to the world of work.

Through initiatives such as career workshops, mentoring, personalised career consultations, and employer engagement activities, we aim to create opportunities that help students explore their strengths, build practical skills, and gain confidence in navigating their career paths.

We are also grateful for the continued collaboration with employers and alumni, whose involvement helps us bring real-world perspectives into the student experience. It is through this shared commitment—between students, staff, and industry—that we are able to support UNM’s mission of nurturing well-rounded, work-ready graduates.

Our graduates continue to shine across disciplines, with UNM earning the highest 6-star rating in:

  • Chemical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Mechatronics Engineering
  • Language Studies

This award was presented at the Employers’ Choice Award Luncheon on 22 April 2025 at EQ Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, officiated by YB Datuk Ts. Mustapha Sakmud, Deputy Minister of Higher Education Malaysia.

To our amazing industry partners—thank you for believing in our students. Let’s continue shaping a future where every student has the support and opportunity to succeed!
