Call for Applications: International Research Collaboration Award 2020

The International Research Collaboration Award (IRCA) is a competitive award to a funded visit, up to two months duration, with a maximum of RM15,000, at a host organisation anywhere in the world that may act as a collaborator for a research project.

We are offering four awards worth RM15,000 each; two for postgraduate research students (PGRs) and two for early career researchers (ECRs) to promote mobility by undertaking a research visit to a leading international research institution.

Purpose

  1. To establish a new contact or strengthen an existing research collaboration with an international partner

  2. To gain new skills or competencies commensurate with being a successful global researcher

  3. To deepen your understanding of research in an international arena

Eligibility

PGRs:

  • A registered PhD student at University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM)

  • Passed your first year annual review

  • Not yet entered your thesis pending period

ECRs:

  • An early career academic research staff at UNM

Important information

The award cannot be used for prior research attachments, to fund conference attendance or to complete existing fieldwork/data collection which is integral to the successful completion of a doctoral thesis or currently funded research project. Both the visit and funding must be completed by 30 October 2020.

Submission deadline is on 6 December 2019 and all applications should be submitted to graduateschool@nottingham.edu.my.
