Call for applications: UNM PhD Scholarship

We are pleased to announce that the UNM PhD Scholarship is now open for applications to high-achieving final year undergraduate students of UNM who are interested to apply for entry onto PhD programmes at UNM. This competitive scholarship offers full tuition fee waiver for the three years of the PhD programme.

We are committed to a broad and diverse research environment that fosters both mature and emergent disciplinary and inter-disciplinary research.

In supporting the delivery plans of Research and Knowledge Exchange under UNM’s renewed strategic plan, we are focusing on an integrated perspective of humanities and social sciences (HASS) with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) across our research and knowledge exchange practice. We are concentrating on, but not limiting to, promising research areas emphasised in our research strategies and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Applicants are strongly encouraged to make contact with a prospective supervisor prior to submitting an application, to discuss the proposed research topic and related matters.

Who can apply

• • Final year (Year 3/4) undergraduate students of UNM, with First Class Honours.

  • Meet the entry requirements of PhD programmes at UNM.

Eligible applicants will be advanced to the next review and selection process which includes an interview round.

Successful applicants will be required to apply for immediate admission into September 2022 intake.

• • Complete the application form

  • Submit all the following documents (non-returnable) to graduateschool@nottingham.edu.my with the subject written as UNM PhD Scholarship Application-[Name][Faculty you are applying for e.g. FOSE/FASS] in the subject line by Sunday 15 May 2022.
