2021/22 Award Winners

This year the awards ceremony took place on Tuesday 12 May 2022 and was streamed live. The ceremony brought together all the award winners and other colleagues from across the three Nottingham campuses to celebrate the achievements and outstanding contributions of the award winners.

In his congratulatory message, Professor Andy Chan, Vice Provost of Research and Knowledge Exchange writes, “I am once again impressed by the extraordinary work of our researchers in delivering exceptional contributions in these exceptionally challenging times. Research excellence comes in many forms and the Tri-Campus Awards allow us to celebrate this spread of excellence. Impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been a significant change in the research landscape, with a growing emphasis on team-based, challenge-led and multidisciplinary research. With the introduction of two new award categories this year, I am especially delighted by the collegiate and collaborative approach to research, working across organisational structures and disciplinary boundaries. I congratulate all the winners across all five categories. They embody the best qualities of our research community and I thank them for their significant contributions.”

Echoing the proud delight, Dr Maniam Kaliannan, Associate Dean of Graduate School reflects on the tremendous depth of transformative research undertaken by our researchers at the University, “These awards celebrate one of the core aspects of our University: research. This year’s entries demonstrate the astonishing breadth and diversity of researchers at the University and we are delighted to celebrate and showcase the remarkable accomplishments of our postgraduate students and colleagues through these awards.”
