In conjunction with the celebration of Malaysian Independence Day or Hari Merdeka, we will be organising a Coffee and Cake session on Friday, 28th August 2015, 3pm @ H1B12, featuring an exhibition entitled “Assimilation of Art – The Influence”. The exhibition will be held till 25th September 2015 as the months of August and September are utmost significance to Malaysians as we prepare to commemorate Merdeka Day on August 31st and Malaysia Day on September 16th.

All UNMC postgraduate students are welcome to join us for an informative and interesting celebration of Hari Merdeka!

Malaysian Independence Day is celebrated with a different theme every year. These themes have a customised slogan and a specially written song that promotes unity as Malaysia is a multi-racial country.

The theme for this year’s Independence Day celebrations is #SehatiSejiwa. The theme chosen because it reflected the spirit of solidarity, understanding, togetherness and humanity of the people in the country.
