Associate Professor Vince Wilson visiting UNMC for the first time

The Department of Biomedical Sciences at UNMC were delighted to host Associate Professor Vince Wilson from the School of Life Sciences, Nottingham UK on campus between the 2nd -4th of February 2016. Acting as the main academic liaison between the BMS department at UNMC and the UK campus, Vince met with staffs and students to find out more about the teaching, learning and research activities within the department.

While on campus, Vince also delivered a few lectures topics ranging from the reproductive system to immunology, which were well received by the BMS students. In addition, Vince was on hand to present prizes to the best performing Year 2 and 3 BMS students for their academic achievements during the previous academic year. These prizes were awarded as an encouragement to students for their efforts within the course.

To wrap up his visit, Vince also took the opportunity to meet with BMS students that may transfer to the UK campus for part of their studies, where he was able to answer some student’s queries and give them a better idea of what it is like to live and study in Nottingham.
