Alumni Testimonial: Puvaindran Rajandran (2013)
Graduating with Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences in 2013 was one of my greatest achievements in life. I managed to land a job at the world’s most reputable pharmaceutical company, Pfizer, 3 weeks before submitting my undergraduate dissertation. I have been working in drug safety/pharmacovigilance field for 5 years now and it has been a great journey. After Pfizer, I managed to climb the career ladder further by taking up a regional role (APAC) in Johnson & Johnson handling Pharmacovigilance Compliance.
In between my career, I was interested to pursue a master degree that is relevant to my field. I chose to continue MPhil study in University of Nottingham under School of Biomedical Science, simply because:
- University of Nottingham is highly reputable and recognized by employers
- Academicians in UON are resourceful and helpful, guiding you towards your goal
- It provides flexibilities for post-graduates with full time job
Having completed my undergraduate study in pharmaceutical and health sciences at UNMC has provided the perfect stepping-stone
into my postgraduate study. The course has been a lot of hard work so far, constantly stretching me, but it has also been tremendous fun, and I am very glad that I was able to take part.
Puvaindran is currently studying part-time MPhil in UNMC while working in Johnson & Johnson.
