Careers Adviser Wins The Best Student Support Staff

People say, one of the happiest moments in life is when their hard work paid off. Guess what? *drum rolls* Weehoooo, one of the Careers Advisers won a Staff Oscar Award! 🙂
On April 22, 2017, Kevin Lim Khee Leng from Careers Advisory Service had been awarded the Best Student Support Staff during UNMC Staff Oscars Award Night located at JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
The UNMC Staff Oscars Awards night which was managed by the Student Association, gave recognition to staff who have made an exceptional contribution to the academic environment on campus that enhances student life on campus. Winners were selected through online voting of the nominations from the students. It is an honour for Careers Advisory Service to have such a dedicated staff to bring back trophy and make us proud.

Well, now.. let’s moving on to the committed Kevin Lim! Kevin Lim has been working at UNMC Careers Advisory Service for 8 years. Before his life as a Careers Adviser, he was an Academic Adviser at Portman College, a teacher and an engineer. Currently, he is also a Master student in Management Psychology at UNMC. Being a pioneer of the department, he takes pride in shaping and implementing departmental functions and services. On top of all that, he really loves and feels motivated to assist the students in developing their potentials to bring out the best version of themselves in various ways (networking events, careers talks, careers fair, careers advising, etc). He always believes that an ordinary person with extraordinary determination would bring changes in someone else’s life.
Congratulations to Kevin Lim and the other winners of the Staff Oscars Award. Thank you to everyone who voted. Every one of you is incredibly deserving and keep up the good work!
