Guess what? Work Readiness Boot Camp is back for its second year!
As a soon-to-be fresh graduate, looking for your first job can be exhilarating. Yet, the reality many fresh graduates face when trying to get a foot in the door is that the real world is highly competitive, you often have a small window to make a great impression and you may not know where to start.
The Work Readiness Boot Camp is a proactive approach to exclusively support our graduating students in transition from a graduate to workplace professional in this competitive job market. Through this boot camp, various employer presentations, guidance sessions, professional development and hiring activities conducted are tailored to assist the students in conquering the real-world challenges, acquiring the essential skill sets which will not only make them industry ready but also prove to be beneficial in the long run.
Additionally, University of Nottingham Malaysia has partnered with Heriot-Watt University and Xiamen University to bring the industry experts from various industries to gather one roof to boost the students’ potential in a forum entitled “Upskill for Better Career Readiness”.
Not enough with only careers events and wishing to equip yourself with more additional value and stand out to recruiters? Fret not, we also have partnered with Forage to offer all UNM students with practical work experience through Virtual Work Experience Programmes where to it can help to develop your skills and gain a real understanding of different roles and industries by working through these self-paced modules, with tasks similar to those you would undertake during a traditional internship. You can build your employability and experience what it’s like to work at a range of world-leading companies, from the comfort of home!
