Work Readiness Boot Camp: Stress Management? Resilience is the Key!
Having a work-life balance and effective stress management in workplace once you start working is an important aspect of healthy work environment, although the definition of the concept itself can be subjective to each own.
Realizing that, Careers Advisory Service (CAS) has had our own alumnus, Mohammad Uqail Esa from KPMG Malaysia to share his beneficial insights in our Get Ready Get Hired (GRGH): Stress Management 101 & Achieving Work-Life Balance under Work Readiness Boot Camp— focusing on how to deal with the concept of work-life balance and manage stress while also relating to his past experience as a student and currently as a working professional.
The key highlights of the session would be:
- Be resilient: It is not all about quitting— one should focus on the ideas and solutions instead of dwelling on the problems.
- Communicate: People are not mind readers so talk to people about anything that concern you which it makes people to understand you better. It is best to try to be empathetic towards people and their situation.
- Stress is inevitable and it is okay: It is about making the right choice and it is fine to take one step at a time.
We hope you gain useful input and practise it in your life; be it in your personal or professional working life in the future. Stay tuned to our upcoming careers events through email blast and Facebook updates!
