Christmas & Year End Celebration

A Celebration with Postgraduate Students

Our annual Christmas and Year End Celebration was held on 6 December 2017. The celebration was very well attended and the postgraduate students seemed to appreciate the opportunity to have an early celebration of Christmas before everyone is off for the holiday season.

The celebration also included a presentation of certificates to the participants of this year’s Images of Research photography competition. The winners of the competition were also announced. Overall, the participants were commended for their creativity and effort in showcasing the diversity and breadth of postgraduate experience and research at UNMC. Read more.

Christmas in Malaysia

Although it is close to impossible to have a winter-ish Christmas in Malaysia, but this doesn’t mean that the celebrations are less festive, for Christmas is celebrated the Malaysian way!

We would like to feature one of the highlights every year which is the Christmas decorations put up by shopping malls. Most Malaysians, celebrating or not, flock to the shopping malls during the festive season. The malls put up their unique Christmas decorations and change their theme each year and even try to outdo one another. This benefits us as we get to enjoy the festive atmosphere while taking advantage of the Christmas and Year End Sale. Here’s how 15 shopping malls in Malaysia have decked out their halls for Christmas 2017.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
