  • This course will explore procrastination and discuss effective time management techniques.

  • These sessions will assist in structuring periods of writing and limiting the distraction at home while providing the necessary guidance and motivation to write efficiently and effectively.

Creating a Strong Argument for Your Thesis

  • This course will discuss the background to the nature of arguments and consider the thesis as an ‘argument’ and its structure.

Funding opportunity

Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) Science & Technology Research Grant 2020 is now open for applications

MTSF offers 10 to 15 research grants of up to RM60,000 each. These grants are open to young Malaysian researchers pursuing basic research in science and technology (limited to the fields of natural sciences, including the environment, but excluding clinical medicine and mathematics).

Past recipients include Professors Ting Kang Nee and Sandy Loh as well as Drs Lim Kuan Hon and Show Pau-Loke, together with their respective postgraduate students.

Applications are to be submitted to Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE) Hub for institutional review and endorsement by Monday 18 May 2020.
