Tri Campus Awards 2023: Nomination & application deadline extended
The nomination & application deadline has been extended to Monday 17 April 2023
Nominations and applications for our Tri Campus Awards will be accepted until 12noon on Monday 17 April 2023. This is an extension of the original deadline of Friday 14 April 2023.
These prestigious awards celebrate outstanding postgraduate researchers, postdoctoral researchers, research teams and research supervisors across the University of Nottingham.
We invite you to apply and/or nominate those who deserve to be celebrated. This is an opportunity for us all to come together to recognise colleagues who have made exceptional contributions to our researcher community.
2023 Award categories
1. Postgraduate Award
Recognising accomplishments in research, publications, conferences and contribution to the postgraduate community. Nomination is done through Head of School/Department (HoS/HoD) and each school/department can only nominate one postgraduate researcher. Postgraduate researchers can nominate themselves to HoS/HoD for consideration.

2. Postgraduate Research Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Research Community
Recognising postgraduate researcher who has made exceptional, non-traditional contributions which would not be readily captured by other mechanisms and which might otherwise go unseen, to the University’s research community during the period of January to December 2022.

3. [New] Team Award for Commitment to Enhancing the Research Culture and Environment
Recognising team of researchers who have demonstrated a commitment to developing and enhancing positive research culture and environment during the 2022 calendar year.

4. [New] Research Benefit to a Community Award
Recognising and celebrating the research contributions undertaken by either a postgraduate researcher or member of postdoctoral research staff which have had a direct impact on or benefit to a specific, non-university community.

5. Policy Impact – Emerging Star and Best Initiative Award
Recognising and celebrating doctoral researcher who has been actively using research to inform policy dialogues and influence public policy, through engaging with local or national government, or other relevant organisations or charitable sector.

6. Public Engagement with Research – Emerging Star and Best Initiative Award
Recognising doctoral researcher or team of doctoral researchers who have engaged public audience with research to generate mutual benefit. Public engagement activity can range from outreach activities to patient involvement, citizen science and collaborative research projects.

7. Outstanding Research Supervisor Award
Recognising outstanding research supervisors who have created a supportive, stimulating and inspirational research environment for doctoral students.

8. Postgraduate Assistant Award
Recognising and celebrating postgraduate researcher who has shown examples of innovative support of learning within the last two years.
