Careers e-Award 2019/2020: Careers Ambassadors

Congratulations and thank you to all Careers Ambassadors for the contribution to Careers Advisory Service!

Introduced in 2019, Career Ambassadors serve as a bridge between Careers Advisory Service (CAS) and UNM student populations where they serve an integral role to deliver an exceptional service to students.

Through this ambassadorship, CAS aims to nurture the talents and employability skills of the students where they can develop their professionalism for their future career. In addition, they gained the chance to build self-confidence through involvement in internal and external Careers activities, develop transferable skills through training and hands-on experience, and gain networking and exposure opportunities with employers from different industries.

CAS recruited ten (10) students through series of processes such as resume submission, screening and interviewing the candidates to ensure the best selection of careers ambassadors. The ambassadorship took place for one academic year from September 2019 until May 2020. The positions offered in the ambassadorship were president, and a breakdown of categories such as digital marketing, promotion and publicity, event marketing, peer advising, and public relations and communication.
