NACDA Talk & Networking Event: Gathering Career Educators!
June 30th 2022 marks a networking event with the National Career Development Centre (NACDA) hosted by UNM Careers Advisory held on our beautiful campus, gathering NACDA members and a guest speaker from Hays. As a friendly introduction, NACDA is an association for Malaysian higher education development practitioners to connect and collaborate in order to strengthen career readiness and employability among its graduates!
We started off with a NACDA meeting session where they discussed an upcoming event – Virtual Career Youth Camp (CYC) events and activities. Afterwards, delivered by Itienne Lee from Hays as a Talent Acquisition SEA Manager, we had a better understanding about change in the employment world in the last 2 years. Besides that, it was very insightful when she conveyed about the current market overview and hiring trends in Malaysia. Followed by lunchtime, the career representatives got to enjoy meals while networking and catching up with each other.
Such a memorable experience when we got the chance to end the session by providing the attendees the campus tour with our buggy transportation starting from Tengku Zara building, Trent Building, Sports Complex and lastly Career Resources Centre, showing the uniqueness of UNM facilities while enjoying the outdoor fresh air and the greenery.
In the near future, UNM Careers hopes that we could have the chance to host another event for NACDA again and get together with NACDA members as we will always welcome them with an open door.
