Alumni Testimonial: Newsha Arezi (2017)

I graduated from University of Nottingham in 2017 with a first-class honors degree. This research-based program was an excellent course in preparing me to do research in pharmaceutical sciences and drug delivery. I particularly enjoyed the pharmaceutics and chemistry modules, as I was interested in the research field of controlled drug delivery. After graduated, I joined Concordia University in Canada as a master’s candidate. I am currently a student and researcher in the laboratory of polymer and nanoscale biomaterials chemistry. My research focuses on the development and characterization of smart polymeric micelles for on-demand delivery of anti-cancer drugs. Working on research projects that has the potential of saving patients’ lives and improving their living standards is, in my opinion, extremely exciting and valuable.

Newsha is studying MSc Chemistry at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.
