RTAD: February’s Highlights
As we are experiencing and grappling with the driest weather we have ever seen in Malaysia, we hope the prolonged dry spell will end soon and may the month of March treat us all well.
Here are the recaps and highlights of February 2014.
Researcher Boot Camp
An intensive programme of courses was delivered from the 10th – 14th February 2014, conducted by Dr Christopher Hill, Dr Sue Scarborough and Dr Tissa Chandesa. The boot camp aimed to help new postgraduates in getting started on their research degrees.
As part of the boot camp, a new course titled “How to be an Effective Researcher” was conducted. The course aimed to enhance the effectiveness of postgraduates primarily research students in many different aspects of the research degrees.
Tea & Yee Sang Session
In celebration of the Chinese New Year, a very first Tea and Yee Sang session was held on 14 February 2014. Approximately 20 staff and postgraduate students joined in the merriment of stirring and tossing Yee Sang while wishing for a year filled with auspiciousness.
