UNMC Research Showcase 2015 – Overall Winner

The six finalists of UNMC Research Showcase 2015 presented their posters to a panel of judges from the UK Campus, via video conference on 15th May 2015.

The six finalists (from left to right): Sadia Afreen from the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Yamina Boukari from the School of Pharmacy, Muhammad Yaasiin Oozeer from the Department of Civil Engineering, Yin Leng Kua from the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Chow Wei Ling from the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering and Kalaimani Markandan from the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering.

The title of the Overall Winner went to Yamina Boukari, a third year PhD student from the School of Pharmacy. Yamina also won the Judges’ Choice Award earlier with RM500 cash prize at the UNMC Research Showcase held on 8th May 2015.

Heartiest congratulations to all the finalists on their commendable efforts! We are extremely pleased with their stellar performance throughout the Research Showcase competition. The six finalists’ poster will be showcased at the UK Research Showcase on 17th June 2015.

Once again, we would like to congratulate Yamina for winning the Overall Winner Award which carries a prize money of RM1,000. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the panel of judges for their time and effort in evaluating the presentations and posters.

We look forward to yet another exciting chapter of Research Showcase next year! Stay tuned…
