Global Career Webinar Training Events
The Careers Advisory Service is running a series of global career webinar training events in November and December 2017 and we would like to encourage all our postgraduate students to participate in these webinars.
The global career webinar training events are part of the programme under the University’s Passport Career System. This system has been specially subscribed for existing students of the University to explore opportunities around the world while providing extensive resources, guidance, strategies and tools to help the students to start their career planning.

LinkedIn Job Search: Recruiters, Employers and Jobs (Part III) |
It is easy to find jobs on LinkedIn, but what you really need is a strategy to apply for those jobs and connect with the recruiters on LinkedIn. In this training, you will: learn how to find and stay aware of jobs relevant to you; how to use several LinkedIn features and company profiles to develop a specific job application; how to find out about your competition when applying for jobs; and how to leverage your connections to help your profile stand out to recruiters. This will be an interactive training.

Highly recommended if you recently joined Passport Career! Are you new to Passport Career or have been with us for a while and are still looking for a job, internship or other opportunity? Invest one hour of your time to learn how to use Passport Career effectively and strategically based on your career interests! We will point out key resources relevant to your needs and interests. This is a highly interactive, small group training! This will be an interactive training.

International Careers in Business |
Companies, nonprofits and governments around the world look for business graduates. This training focuses on the strategies and steps to take to find a business or MBA-related job or internship outside of your home country. Join this training to learn: current global trends on MBA hires; how different countries recruit business professionals; strategies to present your qualifications; and strategies to network effectively in different business cultures. This training is appropriate for all business degrees and will be customised based on participant registration profiles. If you previously attended this training, you should join again for updated information. This is a highly interactive, small group training. There will be time for Q&A.
