New staff announcement
We are pleased to introduce our newest addition to the Graduate School team, Dr Revathy Sankaran, Research and Training Assistant Manager.
About Revathy Sankaran
Dr Revathy Sankaran is an alumna from University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM). She graduated as a doctorate in Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Science and Engineering at UNM. She majored in Bioprocess Technology and her research focuses on the improvement of bioprocessing and bioseparation techniques. She completed her PhD in 2018 and upon completing she pursued her Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Biological Science in University Malaya from 2019 to 2020. She is a compassionate professional researcher with five years of extensive work project experience. Her achievements include developing a novel technique called Aqueous Two-Phase Flotation (ATPF) that benefits and improves downstream processing, published more than 15 journal papers, wrote few book chapters, and supervised several Masters and PhD students. Additionally, she has experience in applying and handling grants such as Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS), Prototype Development Research Grant (PRGS), Trans-disciplinary Research Grant Scheme (TRGS), Public Private Research Network (PPRN) and Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). She has successfully obtained funding from the SATU grant which is sponsored internally by University Malaya and PPRN with the collaboration of her supervisors Prof Ling Tau Chuan and Dr Show Pau Loke. She is highly experienced in R&D, research management and has adequate knowledge in scientific writing that will be beneficial to expanding the research quality at UNM and contributing to the existing Graduate School team.
