UoN 2020 3MT®
Winner of the tri-campus round
Yoong Xin Pang from the Ningbo campus (UNNC) was awarded the highest score in the tri-campus 3MT® and has been selected to represent UoN in the global online U21 3MT®. Many congratulations!

About 3MT®
3MT® is an academic research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia.
The challenge is for doctoral researchers to explain the complexity and relevance of their research to a non-specialist audience in a concise and engaging way. Presenters have a maximum of three minutes to pitch their research and can only use one slide.

Preparing to Teach in Higher Education

This course will introduce the practices, roles and responsibilities involved in teaching at a higher education level.

This course will consider the purpose and practice of practical classes, and subsequently develop skills in managing such classes.

This course will identify hazardous factors and inform preventive measures to ensure that the risks are adequately controlled at all times.

Lecturing for Learning

This course will take on a very practical look at the task of giving a lecture to undergraduates; explore the aspects of preparation and delivery; and build both confidence and abilities of those who are relatively new to the role of lecturing.
