Researcher Academy and how it connects to us
Update from Professor Deborah Hall
Graduate School in our UK campus is now known as the Researcher Academy
I am pleased to circulate the announcement of the newly established Researcher Academy and further share with you aspirations of our Graduate School here at UNM.
Championing researchers for the world
Head of the Researcher Academy, Dr Jane Wellens, wrote an introductory blogpost about the Researcher Academy and its ambition to further cultivate excellence across our whole research community.
“Over the past 25 years, the Graduate School had provided dedicated support to our University researcher community. It had gradually evolved with the changing research landscape to encompass functions and responsibilities that extended beyond the postgraduate community, and following a review last year, the University recognised that it is time to make a bigger change and endorse the creation of the new Researcher Academy.
Building on the legacy of the Graduate School, the Researcher Academy is further developing to become a network for the whole of the researcher community, from postgraduate researchers through to senior research leaders, as well as those working in roles that support them.”

Graduate School at UNM
Our Graduate School here at UNM remains unchanged. We will be working closely with the Researcher Academy in collaborating, networking and sharing best practices in regard to researcher training and development, research culture and public engagement, amongst others.
We will work together, advocating for a healthy research culture, cultivating researcher excellence and developing creative partnerships.
