Biosciences Postgraduate research (PGR) students from the Faculty of Science (FoS) recently won two prizes at the student conference support poster competition on 15 September 2017 that was hosted and held at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC). The competition was not open to other universities, nevertheless, it provided a platform for FOS postgraduate students to create and present a poster that they would be proud to present at a reputable international conference in their respective research areas.

Ms Tham Shiau Ying and Ms Tan Pui Yee, both PhD students from the School of Biosciences respectively won the second (RM5,000) and third (RM3,000) prizes in the competition. Shiau Ying is supervised by Prof. Sandy Loh while Pui Yee is supervised by Dr Soma Mitra, both lecturers from the Faculty of Science.
