Postgraduates, we are listening
Our support
At the Graduate School, we spend a lot of time advocating for our postgraduate students especially on issues affecting their ongoing training and research development.
In our effort to continue providing succinct updates on what we are doing to support our postgraduate community during this closure period, we would like to invite you to get in touch with us if you have any unaddressed concerns or if there are gaps in our advocacy or communication.

Faculty support
The Faculty of Science and Engineering (FOSE) has an online platform for its postgraduate research students (PGRs) to voice out any issues and problems that affect them during these unprecedented and challenging times. This platform is administered by Dr Joshua Yap Lip Vun, Associate Dean (Admissions, Recruitment & Marketing) and Associate Professor at FOSE.
The platform, which is an online shared spreadsheet, contains a tab specifically for PGRs.
*Navigate to the last tab named FOSE PGR, (sometimes hidden, so you need to click on the hamburger button to expand more tabs), and fill the blue columns with the necessary information and description. You can expect for a response within 2 days.

Communal support
There is a communal support group for postgraduate students initiated by the Science and Engineering Postgraduate Student Council (SEPSC). The group, PGTeam, is a platform which actively engaging and meeting via Microsoft Teams. It offers an avenue to chat and discuss any issues faced by postgraduate students with the faculty administration. During this closure period, this platform serves to minimise the effects of self-isolation among postgraduate community by providing an alternative mean of communication and interaction.
All postgraduate students are welcome and you can use the code below to join the group (use only the official University email account linked to Microsoft Teams):

C0VID-19: Exceptional Regulations
As part of the University’s response to the ongoing pandemic, a number of exceptional regulations have now been introduced to ensure that teaching and learning continues throughout this period. This includes assessment and the subsequent progression and degree classification results which arise from this.
The regulations contain sections specifically addressing postgraduate progression and postgraduate research.
