Call for Applications: Research Programme
Overview
This highly-selective, two-day programme is designed for researchers and postgraduate research students to work together to identify research questions of urban mobility and waste to wealth in Malaysia and outline what would be needed for a competitive funding application to the Newton-Ungku Omar Fund Grand Challenge 2019. Scheduled for 22 & 23 August 2019, this programme is to support researchers and postgraduate research students to develop their grantsmanship with a view to promoting responses to the Newton call.
Attendees will have the opportunity to submit their proposal for one award of up to RM15,000 to enable further development of the project proposal for submission in October 2019, including bringing the UK lead researcher to Malaysia.

Eligibility

This programme is open to all academic staff and postgraduate research students.

Applicants must be able to attend the entire programme and make the necessary time commitment to do preparatory and follow-up work.
Important note

This programme will take place if we have a minimum of 30 participants, failing which the programme will be cancelled.

In the event of cancellation/no show, your School/Department will be liable to cover the cost associated with this programme.
