Invitation: Postgraduate Welcome Programme 2019

Welcome Day

This programme aims to introduce the scope of the Graduate School to the postgraduate community at University of Nottingham Malaysia, in terms of support and development opportunities. New postgraduate students can take this opportunity to assimilate into the postgraduate community and hit the ground running, socially and academically.

The programme will take place on Monday 30 September 2019 in the Postgraduate Hub (H1B12) with details as follows:

  • 9.30am: Welcome Presentation
  • 9.40am: Introduction to Our Support and Services
  • 10am: Introduction to Our Training Programmes and Campus
  • 10.30am: Thinking about Your PhD
  • 11am: SWIRL – So What’s It Really Like? *The panel will consist of current PhD students and alumni
  • 12.30pm: Networking Lunch
  • 2pm: A Session with Supervisors *The panel will consist of PhD supervisors 
  • 3.30pm: Activities

Research Boot Camp

This is an intensive programme of courses, from the Researcher Development Programme (RDP) module, that are designed to get your PhD off to a flying start. The programme will take place in the Postgraduate Training Room (H1B13) with details as follows:
