3MT® competition

Feedback sessions & rehearsal

This is a reminder for all participants taking part in the competition. The remaining feedback sessions will take place on:

  • Session #5: Monday 22 June 2020, 10am – 12noon

  • Session #6: Tuesday 23 June 2020, 10am – 12noon

These sessions are exclusively designed to provide insightful advice and guidance on how to better structure as well as communicate research work to a general and wider audience.

UNM 2020 Virtual 3MT® Live!

10 doctoral researchers will be presenting their research in just 3 minutes to a panel of judges in this year’s virtual 3MT® Live! on Wednesday 24 June 2020

The live presentations will be recorded and you will have a chance to vote for your favourite presenter in the People’s Choice Award. More details will be announced soon.

Shut Up and Write

  • Session 06/05: Monday 22 June 2020, 2pm – 4.30pm

  • This session will assist in structuring periods of writing and limiting the distraction at home while providing the necessary guidance and motivation to write efficiently and effectively.

Introduction to ORIS for New Postgraduates

  • Thursday 25 June 2020, 10am – 12noon

  • This course will introduce the use of information sources in our library and develop the skill sets and knowledge in information searching.

Notice

Postgraduate Hub remains closed

The health and safety of our postgraduate students and staff is our key priority.

We have been monitoring updates on C0VID-19 closely and in compliance with the recovery movement control order, our Postgraduate Hub continues to be closed until further notice. This includes the Learning Hub (H1B12a), Training Room (H1B13) and Social Space (H1B14).

We will keep you updated once we are able to resume the opening of these spaces.

What does the industry look for in PhD graduates?

Careers Advisory Service (CAS), in collaboration with InvestKL and us at the Graduate School, organised a second instalment of virtual Postgraduate Careers Series on Thursday 28 May 2020. This webinar featured an insightful and useful talk by Dr Rahmat Shazi who is the Technology Director at ShazInnovation Solution, focusing on Social Capital Analysis.
