My Three Years Here…

They say that time flies when you’re having fun, and in a blink of an eye, I have handed in my final year project and have taken my final exams. These 3 years have been nothing short of fun, amazing, crazy and of course stressful moments too.

Some of the things that I will always remember from my undergrad years are the times we slaved over our lab reports in the cognitive science lab, those amazing lecturers whose voices can be heard in the corridor outside the lab, running around chasing participants for my FYP, dashing in and out of my supervisor Dr Marc’s office while preparing for my presentation, and many many more.

I will definitely miss all the amazing people like the lecturers and my classmates. What I have learnt from this course is nowhere close to what I had expected when I first enrolled, especially learning SPSS. All I knew about psychology when I enrolled was Sigmund Freud and his famous theories and case studies.

I’m excited about graduating, but I do feel slightly heavy-hearted to be leaving this place that has been like my second home for the last 3 years. I am however, very excited to be going to Nottingham UK to further my studies, where I will be doing Masters in Counselling Children and Young People.

To those who are interested in studying psychology in this uni, honestly you will not regret it. UNMC is a beautiful campus and psychology is, in my opinion, one of the most interesting courses available. But be warned that it isn’t a walk in the park, but you’ll definitely have fun!

Good luck all you future psych graduates 🙂
