UNM essential and operations staff undergo COVID-19 swab test
As part of the effort to ensure UNM community on campus remain safe and healthy, University of Nottingham Malaysia’s (UNM) Human Resources Department arranged for BP Diagnostics, an integrated healthcare provider to conduct a COVID-19 Prihatin Screening Programme (PSP) to all essential and operations staff on 2 November 2020.
These essential and operations staff were identified by their line managers, who confirmed that they were working on campus during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) period. A total of 82 staff were tested and their results were negative.
These identified staff were mostly from health and safety, campus services, estate, accommodation, food and beverage, wardens, and technical teams. They were identified in view of the nature of their work that requires them to work or collaborate with external parties such as outsourced service providers. Prior to this, our Security staff did their swab test at the in-house clinic on 26th and 27th October 2020.
This Covid-19 screening programme is covered by Social Security Organisation (Socso), in line with the government’s recommendation for staff working physically in the office or workplaces throughout the CMCO period to undergo the Covid-19 PCR Swab Test, and as a preventive measure to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
